International Women’s Day- Women’s Wellness Event

On International Women's Day, we celebrated the diverse strengths and achievements of women worldwide. We also recognized the resilience and advocacy within the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) community, where women play crucial roles as caregivers, educators, and advocates.

In appreciation of women, the NWR FASD Society attended the Women’s Wellness event in Paddle Prairie Metis Settlement. This event was dedicated to caring and celebrating women and had many stations set up to do just that. In attendance there were massage therapist, pedicurist, reiki healers and many opportunities for free goodies and treats.

At this event we set up a booth to serve mocktails and offered attendees the option between Raspberry Lemonade Mocktails and Gummy Bear Mocktails. These drinks were a hit and enjoyed by everyone at the event. Below are video tutorials for these recipes.

This day provided reflection, appreciation and celebration. Together we continue to empower women and raise awareness about FASD, ensuring support and understanding for those affected.
