Fort Vermilion Winter Carnival 2024

Members of our staff and our housing residents attended this years Fort Vermilion Winter Carnival. The event spanned 3 days and was full of fun and creative activities. There was a weekend long draft hockey tournament, a family dance, a talent show, various games and an outdoors skills competition, all of which kept us very busy and entertained.

The outdoors skills competition was definitely a highlight of the weekend as we watched as men and women compete in the following tasks.

  • Nail driving

  • Wood sawing

  • Tea making

  • Moose calling

  • Tug of war

  • Sandbag carry

  • Bannock making
